Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayata Dutt visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations, where the couple sought Bappa’s blessings and were captured in a touching moment together.
Videos and photographs from their visit have surfaced on social media, showing Sanjay and Maanayata making their way through the crowded venue with security personnel around them. The actor was also seen staying close to his wife as they navigated the gathering.
Sanjay Dutt and Maanayata Seek Bappa’s Blessings
For the visit, Sanjay Dutt wore a bright orange kurta, while Maanayata opted for a vibrant pink suit.
The couple offered prayers at Lalbaugcha Raja and took part in the darshan amid a large crowd. Sanjay was accompanied by security personnel throughout the visit.
One of the moments that drew attention was captured after the couple’s darshan. Sanjay took sindoor from near Bappa’s feet and applied it to Maanayata’s forehead.
The gesture quickly became a talking point in videos shared from the pandal, with the couple appearing together throughout their visit.
Sanjay Dutt Says He Hopes Bappa Calls Him Every Year
Following his darshan, Sanjay spoke to the media about his visit to Lalbaugcha Raja and his faith in returning to the pandal.
“It is my good fortune that I have been able to visit ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ for darshan once again… I am here because Bappa called me, and I pray that Bappa calls me here every year and that I keep coming back every year.”
His comments reflected the personal significance he attaches to visiting Lalbaugcha Raja during Ganeshotsav.
The Mumbai pandal is known for attracting large numbers of devotees as well as several Bollywood personalities during the festival.
Sanjay Dutt and Chunky Panday Reunite at the Pandal
Sanjay Dutt’s visit also led to an industry reunion.
Actor Chunky Panday was at Lalbaugcha Raja with his daughter, actor Ananya Panday. Sanjay and Chunky met at the venue and were seen greeting and hugging each other.
The reunion added another Bollywood moment to the actor’s visit.
A day earlier, Shah Rukh Khan had also visited Lalbaugcha Raja with his wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan. The family participated in the aarti and sought blessings at the pandal.
Sanjay Dutt’s Upcoming Films
Sanjay Dutt continues to work across Hindi and regional cinema.
His recent credits include Housefull 5, Baaghi 4 and Dhurandhar in 2025. His reported 2026 releases include The Raja Saab, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Raja Shivaji, Aakhri Sawal and the Kannada film KD: The Devil.
One of his upcoming projects is Ranger, directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by Luv Films. The jungle adventure film, which was previously scheduled for December 2026, has reportedly been moved to 2027.
The film stars Ajay Devgn as a forest officer confronting animal poaching, while Sanjay Dutt is set to play the antagonist and Tamannaah Bhatia is part of the principal cast.
