Actor Divyenndu has taken a nostalgic trip back to the world of Pyaar Ka Punchnama while extending his best wishes to the team of the upcoming romantic drama Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar.
The actor, who became a fan favourite as Liquid in Luv Ranjan’s 2011 romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama, shared the trailer of the new film on Instagram and playfully invoked his much-loved character while welcoming its young cast.
Divyenndu Brings Back His ‘Liquid’ Connection
Sharing the trailer on his Instagram account, Divyenndu drew a humorous parallel between the two films.
He wrote, “Kuch pehle jaisa laga kya?? Lekin yeh woh hai nahin.. Toh aaieye hum sab aur specially Liquid ki taraf se welcome karte hain!! All the best to the team of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar.”
The post served as a nostalgic callback for fans who remember Divyenndu’s memorable performance in Pyaar Ka Punchnama. His character Liquid became one of the film’s most recognisable elements and helped establish the actor as a popular name among young Hindi-film audiences.
Six Newcomers Lead Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar
Directed by Anuj Saini, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar introduces six actors to the film’s central cast.
The newcomers include Sparsh Walia, Alisha Chopra, Kunal Vaid, Sakshi Vaidya, Tushar Chhibber and Sargun Kaur Luthra.
The film is being positioned as a fresh romantic entertainer, with its young ensemble marking a new chapter for the production banner associated with Luv Ranjan.
Luv Ranjan on Launching Six New Faces
For Luv Ranjan, the decision to introduce newcomers carries a personal connection to his own filmmaking journey.
The filmmaker recalled getting an opportunity to launch new talent around 15 years ago with Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He said that when a similar opportunity came with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, he did not want to miss it.
“Introducing newcomers is always a challenge, but it’s the one I genuinely look forward to. Fifteen years ago, I got that opportunity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and when something similar came along with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, I knew I didn’t want to let it pass,” Luv Ranjan said.
He also spoke about the creative process of building a story around six new performers.
“As a writer, creating a world for six new faces and watching them find their own rhythm within it was something I really enjoyed. When the people feel right, the story finds its own energy, and I’m excited for audiences to meet them,” he added.

Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is presented by Luv Films and jointly backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
With a completely new ensemble at its centre and the creative team behind Pyaar Ka Punchnama once again introducing young talent, the film carries a noticeable connection to Luv Ranjan’s earlier work while presenting a new set of actors.
Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 23, 2026.
