Mumbai: Mini Mathur has opened up about her experience on the reality show The Alliance and recalled an interaction with Salman Khan that left her uncomfortable.
Salman appeared on the show shortly before its finale to support his brother, actor-producer Sohail Khan, who was among the contestants. While Mini said she admires Salman and enjoyed having him on the sets, she acknowledged that one particular remark about her husband, filmmaker Kabir Khan, did not sit well with her.
Speaking to journalist Nayandeep Rakshit, Mini discussed the moment and explained how her appearance on The Alliance also allowed viewers to see her beyond her identity as Kabir Khan’s wife.
Mini Mathur says she did not like Salman Khan’s comment
Reflecting on Salman’s appearance on The Alliance, Mini said she has a great deal of affection for the superstar but did not appreciate his suggestion that Kabir was “scared” of her.
“I, of course, adore him and it was wonderful to hear him say that. You know, of course, I didn’t like that comment. I was always like Kabir’s better half, and so I’m glad that he got to see a side of me that he hadn’t before,” Mini said.
Her comments suggest that the remark stood out to her because of the way she has frequently been identified publicly in relation to her husband.
The Alliance showed a different side of Mini Mathur
Mini’s participation in The Alliance gave her an opportunity to establish an identity within the show independent of her long-standing association with Kabir Khan.
Rather than appearing primarily as a filmmaker’s wife, she became one of the contestants competing through social strategy, relationships and shifting alliances.
Her journey eventually took her to the top of the competition, where she emerged as the show’s first winner.
Salman Khan’s visit left contestants stunned
Salman’s appearance became one of the memorable moments of the season.
The actor visited the The Alliance house to support Sohail Khan, and his presence prompted an enthusiastic reaction from the contestants.
Recalling the scene, Mini said it was entertaining to watch the housemates struggle to believe that Salman was actually sitting among them.
She described the contestants as being visibly stunned and jokingly reacting as though they needed someone to confirm that the moment was real.
For the participants, the superstar’s unexpected presence provided a rare break from the regular dynamics of the reality competition.
Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have worked together three times
Salman and Kabir Khan share a professional history spanning three films.

Mini Mathur wins The Alliance
Mini ultimately won The Alliance, hosted by Kunal Kemmu.
The reality series brought together personalities from different areas of entertainment and centred on social relationships, strategy and changing alliances.
Mini competed through six weeks of the show before reaching the finale alongside Aly Goni and Ruhee Dosani.
She emerged as the winner and received the trophy along with a ₹50 lakh cash prize, according to the information surrounding the show’s finale.
Her victory added another dimension to a season in which she had also attracted attention for establishing herself as an individual personality rather than being known primarily through her association with Kabir Khan.
