Los Angeles: Model and actor Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, was found dead inside a bedroom at a Santa Monica sober living facility, according to reports citing sources close to the investigation.
Presley had reportedly checked into the luxury sober living home on Saturday evening. He was found dead the following day after suffering cardiac arrest. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, while his official cause of death remains pending toxicology results.
Presley Gerber Was Found Near a Bed
According to information reported by TMZ, Presley’s body was discovered near a bed inside one of the bedrooms at the facility.
Sources reportedly indicated that he was not found on the bed itself, although the precise location inside the room was not immediately clear.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, and the Medical Examiner’s toxicology testing is expected to provide additional information about substances that may have been present in his system.
Toxicology Results Will Determine Cause of Death
Presley’s autopsy has reportedly been completed, but the official cause of death has been deferred pending further examination.
TMZ reported that fentanyl had not emerged in the investigation at the time of its report. That does not establish what caused Presley’s death, as the Medical Examiner’s toxicology analysis will ultimately be important in determining whether drugs or other substances played a role.
Police are reportedly investigating the death as a suspected drug overdose, while no foul play is currently suspected.
Presley Had a Sober Coach
Reports also said that Presley had been working with a 24/7 sober coach, who frequently travelled with him and provided round-the-clock support during the months before his death.
It remains unclear whether the coach was with Presley during the weekend when he checked into the Santa Monica facility.
TMZ had previously reported that Presley appeared to be under the influence when he arrived at the sober living home on Saturday evening. That reported observation has not, by itself, established the cause of his death.
Presley Gerber Suffered Cardiac Arrest
According to reports, Presley went into cardiac arrest on Sunday morning before his death.
Emergency circumstances surrounding the incident remain part of the ongoing investigation. With the autopsy completed but the official cause deferred, further findings from the Medical Examiner are expected to clarify the circumstances.

Presley Gerber was the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and the brother of model Kaia Gerber.
A representative for Cindy, Rande and Kaia said the family is asking for privacy as they deal with what was described as a “very difficult and painful time.”
Presley had followed his mother into the fashion industry and worked as a model. His death at 27 has prompted an outpouring of attention because of his connection to one of the fashion industry’s best-known families.
