Ajay Devgn had a witty response when asked what might have happened if his wife and actor Kajol had been part of the Drishyam franchise. According to Devgn, there may not have been a film at all.
The actor made the remark during an appearance on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, where he was joined by his Drishyam: The Conclusion co-stars Shriya Saran, Esha Dutta, Jaideep Ahlawat and Mrunal Jadhav.
The episode is scheduled to premiere on September 26, shortly before the third instalment of the Hindi Drishyam franchise reaches cinemas.

During the conversation, host Kapil Sharma brought up Kajol while speaking to director Abhishek Pathak.
Kapil jokingly asked whether casting Kajol in the first Drishyam film would have made it difficult for the filmmakers to keep the mystery surrounding the story secret.
“Abhishek sir, if you had cast Kajol ma’am in the first part, don’t you think she would have made you spill everything right there?” Kapil asked.
Ajay Devgn immediately added his own punchline.
“The first film wouldn’t have been made!” he said.

He then extended the joke by referring to the simple exchanges between their characters in the Drishyam films: “‘I am fine. How are you?’ That’s all we said in the film too. ‘I am fine. How are you?’”

Drishyam: The Conclusion is the third instalment in the Hindi-language franchise following Drishyam (2015) and Drishyam 2 (2022).
Unlike the first two Hindi films, which were connected to the Malayalam Drishyam story, the third Hindi instalment is set to follow an original storyline.
