Sarika said Renu’s condition deteriorated after her fifth chemotherapy session at Government Medical College, Kottayam. She also appealed for support and prayers while describing her friend’s current condition as critical.

In an Instagram video, Sarika explained that she had received a call from her sister informing her that Renu’s health had worsened after chemotherapy.
Describing the situation as difficult, Sarika said Renu’s platelet count had dropped significantly and that she had subsequently been admitted to hospital.
According to Sarika, doctors have indicated that Renu may not be able to undergo another round of chemotherapy at present because of her condition.
Sarika also recalled that Renu would generally recover somewhat after chemotherapy and then resume her usual activities, including making videos. She said her condition changed considerably following the fifth session.
Sarika further said that a PICC line had been placed as Renu was reportedly unable to eat normally.
