Ayushmann Khurrana has opened up about ** Yeh Prem Mol Liya **, his upcoming collaboration with filmmaker Sooraj R. Barjatya, and explained why he believes the musical family entertainer is meant to connect with audiences across “Bharat.”
The actor was speaking at the film’s music launch, where composer Himesh Reshammiya performed live. Ayushmann and co-star Sharvari also joined the celebrations surrounding the launch of the title track.
While discussing the film, Ayushmann highlighted its connection with Indian culture, traditional values and the distinctive storytelling associated with Barjatya’s cinema.

Ayushmann said Yeh Prem Mol Liya is not simply an “India” film but one intended for “Bharat”, referring to the broad cultural and emotional appeal he associates with the project.
He also praised Himesh Reshammiya’s ability to understand both emotion and the musical preferences of a mass audience.
According to Ayushmann, Reshammiya brings an understanding of what connects with listeners while also serving the emotional requirements of a story.
The actor’s comments came during a discussion about the film’s music and the role songs play in Barjatya’s style of family entertainment.
Ayushmann Initially Questioned the Unusual Film Title
Interestingly, Ayushmann revealed that he had initially wondered about the title ** Yeh Prem Mol Liya ** when he first heard the film’s narration from Sooraj Barjatya.
He recalled questioning the unusual phrase and noted that social-media users had also discussed the title before the film’s music was unveiled.
His perspective changed after Barjatya played the title track for him.
Ayushmann said the song helped him understand why the title was appropriate for the film, and he came to feel that there could not be a more fitting name for the project.
For the actor, the title track became an important introduction to the film’s musical identity.

The actor said she grew up listening to his songs and continues to enjoy his music. Getting an opportunity to perform to one of his compositions was therefore a special experience for her.
Sharvari also spoke about the importance of lyrics when she approaches a character.
She explained that paying attention to the words of a song can help her understand the emotional world of a character and find the appropriate feeling for a scene or performance.
Her comments underline the importance of music in Yeh Prem Mol Liya, where songs are expected to be closely integrated with the film’s storytelling.

Yeh Prem Mol Liya brings Himesh Reshammiya and Sooraj R. Barjatya together again after their earlier collaboration on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
