Actor Kajol has expressed grief over the passing of Krishna Mukerji, Rani Mukerji’s mother and a member of the Mukerji family with whom Kajol shared a close family connection.
Following Krishna’s death on September 22, Kajol took to social media to remember her aunt with a heartfelt message. She shared a photograph of Krishna from a Durga Puja celebration and wrote, “One more star gone to make a more beautiful sky..”
Krishna Mukerji was 75. Her family confirmed the news of her death and requested privacy while mourning her loss.

Krishna Mukerji’s Last Rites Held in Mumbai
Krishna Mukerji’s last rites were held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai, on Tuesday.
Rani Mukerji was present at the crematorium along with members of the family and close friends as they gathered to bid farewell to Krishna.
The private farewell came a day after the family announced her passing.
Krishna was the wife of late filmmaker Ram Mukerji and had also been associated with music as a former playback singer.

Rani Mukerji Had Often Spoken About Her Mother’s Influence
Rani Mukerji has spoken publicly on several occasions about the important role her mother played in her life and career.
