At the launch of Yeh Prem Mol Liya’s title track, Ayushmann Khurrana explained why he believes Sooraj Barjatya’s family entertainer will connect with “Bharat”, while praising composer Himesh Reshammiya’s understanding of Indian audiences.

At the launch of the movie’s title track in Mumbai, the actor described Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming family entertainer as a film for “Bharat”, crediting the filmmaker’s collaboration with composer Himesh Reshammiya for its cultural and emotional appeal.
The event at the Royal Opera House brought together Ayushmann, Sharvari, Sooraj Barjatya and Himesh Reshammiya. Himesh performed the newly released title track live with a 25-piece orchestra, giving the launch a distinctly musical setting.
Ayushmann Khurrana Explains Why Yeh Prem Mol Liya Is for ‘Bharat’
Ayushmann recalled his first narration meeting with Sooraj Barjatya and admitted that the film’s unusual title initially made him curious.
He said the title had also prompted questions online, but his reaction changed after Barjatya played him the title track.
Ayushmann praised Himesh Reshammiya’s ability to combine emotion with an understanding of mainstream Indian audiences.
He said:
“The remarkable thing is that Himesh understands emotions and the masses. Hardly any other contemporary composer understands the Indian public as well as he does.”
The actor added that hearing the title track convinced him that Yeh Prem Mol Liya was the right name for the film.
Describing the project’s intended cultural reach, Ayushmann said it was “not just a film for India, but for ‘Bharat’,” attributing that potential connection to the combination of Barjatya’s filmmaking and Himesh’s music.

Sharvari Says Himesh’s Music Helped Her Connect With Her Character
Sharvari, who stars opposite Ayushmann in the film, also spoke about working with Himesh Reshammiya.
The actor said she had grown up listening to his music and continues to enjoy his melodies. Performing to one of his songs therefore became a particularly meaningful experience for her.
Sharvari also explained that lyrics play an important role in how she approaches her characters.
According to the actor, listening closely to a song’s words helps her understand a character’s emotions and connect with the required state of mind.
She described Himesh’s music as having a warmth that helped her engage with the film’s emotional world.

Yeh Prem Mol Liya Title Track Brings Back Rajshri’s Musical Style
The title track features Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari and is set against wedding celebrations and family gatherings.
The song combines the traditional family-oriented visual language associated with Rajshri cinema with the new pairing of Ayushmann and Sharvari.
Shreya Ghoshal and Nihal Tauro have lent their voices to the title track, while Himesh Reshammiya has composed the music.
The launch itself reinforced the importance of music to the film, with Reshammiya performing the song live alongside a 25-member orchestra.

Himesh Reshammiya Wants a Seventh Song
Yeh Prem Mol Liya also marks another collaboration between Himesh Reshammiya and Sooraj Barjatya.
The composer and filmmaker previously worked together on ** Prem Ratan Dhan Payo **.
Himesh revealed at the launch that the film currently has six songs, although he is still trying to persuade Barjatya to add another.
“Film has 6 songs. I am pushing Sooraj ji for the seventh song for the longest time,”
Himesh said.
The exchange reflects the central role music is expected to play in the upcoming family entertainer.

Ayushmann Khurrana Steps Into Rajshri’s Prem Legacy
Yeh Prem Mol Liya also brings back the “Prem” character tradition associated with Rajshri films after a 12-year gap.
This time, Ayushmann Khurrana takes on the role, with Sharvari playing the female lead.
The story revolves around a relationship that begins with friendship and gradually develops into romance. At the heart of the narrative is a contrast between contemporary ideas about love and the values and warmth of a joint family.
The film therefore combines romance with the family-focused storytelling that has long been associated with Sooraj Barjatya and Rajshri Productions.
Yeh Prem Mol Liya Cast and Release Date
Alongside Ayushmann and Sharvari, the ensemble cast includes Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Seema Pahwa and Saumya Tandon.
The film is directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films.
With Himesh Reshammiya returning as composer and the “Prem” character coming back to the big screen, the project brings together several elements associated with the Rajshri family-entertainer format while introducing a new lead pairing.
Yeh Prem Mol Liya is scheduled to release in theatres on November 27, 2026.
