Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 contestant Shibna has opened up about her eviction and the emotional aftermath of the controversy surrounding the courtroom task. The former wildcard contestant said her biggest regret was leaving the show without being able to respond to comments made about her in her absence.
Shibna has spoken about her final days inside the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house after her recent eviction.
Following her exit, the contestant shared an emotional video on social media in which she thanked viewers for their messages and said she needed time to process everything that had happened during her stint on the reality show.
Her eviction came after the much-discussed courtroom task, during which Shibna’s dress reportedly came untied while she was inside the house. The incident was subsequently addressed during a weekend episode, where host Mohanlal apologised to Shibna on behalf of Goutham Sasi and Sreelakshmi Arakkal.
Shibna says she is still processing her eviction
After leaving the house, Shibna acknowledged the large number of messages she had received from viewers.
“I have seen all your messages. I need some time to process everything. I have never received 1,000 messages in my life. I will read all of them and reply.”
She admitted that leaving the show was difficult, particularly because of the circumstances surrounding her exit.
“Of course, I am sad. I had to leave the show at one of the most vulnerable yet strongest moments of my life. My only regret is that I couldn’t defend myself.”
For Shibna, the issue was less about the eviction itself and more about not having an opportunity to respond while discussions about her continued inside the house.

The contestant also spoke about remarks she says were made by people she had trusted during her time on the show.
According to Shibna, she was particularly hurt by comments attributed to Rahul and Eldho, whom she considered people she trusted.
“Rahul chettan was someone I trusted the most, but he said that I apologised before I even strategised. Eldho chettan also said that I would play any game and that I had caught hold of her.”
Shibna said that hearing such comments after her exit was especially difficult because she could not respond to them in real time.
“When people I trusted say such things about me when I am not there, I cannot defend myself.”

Shibna said she was not primarily upset about being eliminated from the competition.
“I don’t care that I was evicted. What hurts me is that I couldn’t defend myself. When they say something about me every day, I am not there to defend myself.”
She became emotional while discussing how she felt about the situation and the broader issue of victim-blaming.
“Even now, when we live in a society that blames the victim, I feel that I should have been there. I should have defended myself.”
