Alongside the pictures, Fatima wrote a heartfelt note about her character, ACP Jasleen Singh Soin, and the response the series has received.
Fatima Sana Shaikh says playing Jasleen was rewarding
Reflecting on the role, Fatima said she did not initially anticipate how strongly the character and the story would resonate with audiences.
“Playing Jasleen has been so rewarding. I don’t think I realised, while we were making the show, the kind of impact it would have on people or how relevant it would continue to feel even today.”
The actor also drew a connection between Jasleen and the wider reality represented in the series.
“Just as there are so many Meenus in our country, there are Jasleens too.. cops who genuinely want to do good, who care, and who keep trying despite everything.”
Her comments highlight Jasleen as a police officer who is attempting to do her job while navigating the difficult circumstances surrounding the case at the heart of the series.

Fatima also expressed gratitude for the response the series has received since its release.

What is Hunkkaar: The Roar about?
The series follows 17-year-old Meenu Rawat, played by Aneet Padda, whose accusation against influential cult leader Sunil Chakosi, known as “Baapji”, triggers an investigation.
What initially appears to be a case involving one young woman gradually develops into a much larger confrontation involving power, institutions and public scrutiny.
Fatima plays ACP Jasleen Singh Soin, the police officer involved in the investigation. Her character brings another perspective to the story as the case develops and attracts increasing attention.
The cast also includes Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, alongside Aneet Padda and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
